Storia 4: October 4-8, 2019
The first all-female group! Brilliant, accomplished, ambitious women came from the UK, Germany, Morocco, and the U.S.A. The sessions were focused yet joyful, the bonds were deep and supportive.
Don’t be fooled by the silly things we did like poolside face masks: each of these ferociously intelligent women is going to change the world.
Topics included: intergenerational trauma, climate policy x feminist leadership, migration x gender, governance & economics by Millennials, nomadism, the decolonization of international development & aid, overcoming body shame & addiction, mental health x romance, and Chinese parenting.

Participants’ Progress to date: A book self-published in 2020. A book sold to German publisher Ullstein, expected out in 2026. A fellowship granted to further develop a book. Other proposals and projects still in the works.
Selected Commentary:
“Our special time together is stored not only in my heart and mind, but most of it is in my lungs where I take breaths of those memories when the breathing gets difficult in real life. Thank you for helping to kickstart this journey, Ariane and Tim!”
“Throughout the Summit, Ariane taught us all exactly what we needed to know to develop a book concept at the intersection of our passion and what people would want to buy and read. The content was so perfectly curated. I came to the Summit with a vague idea and no plan. I left the Summit with a succinct idea, book outline, book title, a plan and timeline to write it, and the knowledge of how to submit my proposal to publishers: literally everything I needed. Additionally, because of the rich company Ariane attracts, I left infinitely inspired by the members of the cohort and have made lifelong friends. The Storia Summit 2019 was a life-changing experience.”
“A phenomenal investment—what I needed to feel power in this process.”
“The one-on-one with Ariane: Pure gold. Gold. Gold.”
